Although best known as a painter, drawing was central to O’Keeffe’s practice. Spend time drawing in our main gallery space and take inspiration from the Georgia O’Keeffe’s drawing around you. Explore the medium of charcoal with the guidance of experienced drawing tutor Claire Sandars.

Georgia O’Keeffe used drawing as a language to evoke important moments and emotions – the curve of a flower petal, a desert horizon, the wave of one's hair, or the flow of a winding road. Tutor Claire Sandars will be in the gallery with drawing materials, support, advice and a range of O’Keeffe inspired still-life subjects to get you exploring your own drawing as a language.

All abilities welcome.

No booking required, spend as long as you like in the space, just drop-in throughout the day.

NOTE: This event will include drawing directly from objects such as animal skulls, bones, antlers and horns. These items have been found in the wild and no animals have been harmed to source these items.

Drawing charcoal kindly supported by Daler Rowney
