Paper collages & paper clothes

Liz is a maker who works in 3D paper collage and in tin foil.
Her work re-imagines fashion, costume, textiles and detail through the use of the readily available medium of paper. Her choice of papers include industrial waste, those found in the washi warehouses of Japan, or India or Nepal, the local supermarket, or scraps discarded and found in a bin. Her tin foil might be from biscuit or sweet wrappings.
Liz makes framed wall mounted garment studies, sometimes as one offs or as a series, and shoes in paper and tin foil which she presents in glass domes.
Careful research, well developed ideas, attention to detail, finish and considered final presentation are all important to each subject.
