Using recycled magazines, papers, paint, mark making and stitch you will create a set of 3 contemporary mixed media collages inspired by seascapes and summer travels.

In this workshop you will begin by thinking about the colours, textures and shapes in your collage design using your creativity and imagination. You will then be shown techniques such as ripping and cutting to create a textured, mixed media collage, really focusing on shapes, layering and composition.

You will be encouraged to “paint with paper” and to be playful in adding interest to your work. You will leave with a new found confidence to experiment further and to continue on your collaging journey, seeing the beauty in mixed media materials.
