Create your own pair of Eve Trousers, in the fabric of your choice. Spend two days in our dedicated sewing room with expert tutor Lucy and come away with your own unique, fitted garment. Learn how to take accurate measurements, cut out the pattern pieces, and construct the trousers from start to finish. Lucy will guide you through the various steps, providing helpful tips and tricks along the way.

ABOUT THE COURSE

On this 2-day sewing workshop, Lucy will guide you through the Eve Trousers pattern from Merchant and Mills. The pattern chosen is a relaxed fit style, cropped or with turn ups. Slightly tapered leg with optional turn ups. It fits neatly over the waist and hips and has a side zip and two back pockets. You can chose either darts or tucks at the waist seam.

On day one of the workshop, you'll begin by taking precise measurements and selecting the correct size for the pattern. After that, you'll learn how to cut out the pattern pieces, including the pockets, waistband, and legs, using the Eve Trousers pattern.

Once the pieces are cut, you'll start constructing the trousers under the guidance of Lucy, our experienced tutor. Lucy will take you through each step of the process, providing useful tips and techniques to help you successfully complete each stage.

On day two of the workshop, you'll continue working on the trousers, completing the legs, attaching the waistband, and finishing off any final details.

Along with gaining practical sewing skills, you'll also learn about the importance of sustainable fashion. Lucy will share her knowledge on sewing techniques that reduce waste, and how to create a long-lasting wardrobe.

Some basic machine sewing experience needed but you will be guided through the process and create a unique pair of trousers that you can be proud to wear.
